Head Coach
Growing up I wasn't an athlete. I was in the Art Club, Jazz Band, Symphonic Band, and the Drama music pit. I dabbled in some sports, but nothing serious. I was always running around, biking, and hiking with friends. It wasn't until I hit my turning point in life that my fitness journey started to unfold. From that point on, I started to cultivate a passion for knowledge of fitness and health. The evolution of that has led me to where I am today, and I know I have a long and fulfilling journey ahead of me to experience.
The year I got back from University over in the UK was a turning point for me. I was overweight, unhealthy, and had a plethora of bad habits (drinking and smoking heavily). I was on a fast track to a less-than-great life. My best friend agreed to help me and we started shifting things towards a more positive approach. By that I mean he would insult and taunt me until I could catch up to him running and other training as well. Aggressive encouragement was the name of the game, and it worked. We started running Tough Mudder Races, which then shifted to Spartan Races, which finally landed me in CrossFit. Since then, fitness has become an integral part of my life.
My purpose as a coach is to help our community achieve things they never thought possible in the realms of physical fitness and mindsets. The look of shock and joy on their face when they get it lets me know I'm where I need to be.
