While born in Virginia, I am from and grew up in Knightdale, North Carolina. I have always had a passion for health and fitness. I consumed myself with sports growing up and later went on to play for the East Carolina women’s soccer team. The thrill of competing and being a part of a team was addicting. After graduating, I missed that feeling and started my career at the Athletic Lab Sport Performance Center, where I was introduced to CrossFit.
Since then, I got married and moved to Cornelius where we are now raising a family with two wonderful little girls.

While I have always had a passion for health and fitness, the turning point for me happened when playing soccer at ECU. Like many female soccer players in my generation, I struggled with knee injuries. I tore my ACL twice and my meniscus twice having three separate knee surgeries. This led me to really get to know, Coach Wheel,  my strength, and being coach at the time. I spent a lot of time in the weight room and my passion for fitness grew even more. I wanted to help other female athletes from going through the same thing I did. This is why I started training athletes after college. I wanted to help them learn how to move properly and gain strength to prevent injury. Eventually, though I started to enjoy coaching adults more which then led me to coaching CrossFit.

My motivation for coaching is you guys! I can not tell you how excited I get when members tell me they don’t have to be on medication anymore or when someone has more energy to play with their kids now that they started working out or hit a PR. When coming to class betters your life outside of just the gym. That is what makes me so excited to coach every day.
