I was born and raised here in Mooresville, North Carolina, on a small family farm. I have always been one to be extremely active, whether it was on a court or just being outside in nature. Being raised on a farm taught me the importance of hard work and attention to detail, which quickly carried over into my 10+ year career in volleyball. As the smallest on the court, I was often overlooked, but that only taught me to work harder to be undeniably seen by coaches and players.

I've always been determined to be the best player and coach that I can be, and that has come with some hard lessons. However, all of those lessons have shaped me into the coach I am today. I got into CrossFit and strength training in the eighth grade and used it to make me a threat on the volleyball court. I had always aspired to be in the medical field, but while I was in the gym, I realized I could help people avoid getting to the point of needing medications and surgeries, or help them come off of medications and rehab after surgeries.

I quickly fell in love with the environment of a CrossFit gym at a young age and started working at one during my senior year of high school. I started my coaching career working with kids and athletes, teaching them the importance of strength training and the correlation it has with sports. My love of coaching then took me into CrossFit group classes where I could help adults who thought it was too late to be strong and able again, to hit heavier numbers than when they were younger, and see more changes in their lives than when they had \" peaked\".

In my 4 years of coaching, I've gotten to be a part of so many PR's in and outside of the gym; it is a true testament that it is never too late to start changing your life. So I encourage you to take that step into the gym, you won't regret it!
